Grand Stage has been an industry leader for almost 60 years in the design, development and installation of theatrical, studio and entertainment equipment throughout the Midwest. Because our business is based upon service to the end user, our goal during any design and construction process is to help the owner discover the best balance between their specific needs and the reality of physical constraints and budget limitations. Our experience as suppliers and contractors assure our ability to accurately project real costs and offer viable alternatives during the design process. Grand Stage is now pleased to offer an AIA continuing education class.Continuing education is not only a requirement of The American Institute of Architects, but extremely important to the working environment of a performance space. Recognizing that safety begins during the design phase, we are pleased to offer you a program that not only qualifies you for 1LU hour in your continuing education requirements, but also gives you an overview of the equipment, anticipated usage and design characteristics in a performing arts space.
The emphasis of this program is to describe ways in which the design of a performance space can enhance personnel safety in the stage area. This program was developed by stage rigging equipment manufacturer J.R. Clancy and is being presented by our senior project manager, Michael Hostetler , who has aided in the design and construction of performing spaces and studios for over 25 years. As our way of thanking you for attending, we are providing lunch.
The classes are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the last week of every month and can be held either in your office or at your local Grand Stage location.. Classes are available for groups of 3 to 50. In addition to the designated course our experts will be happy to answer any of your questions regarding stage layout, theatrical lighting, cost estimation and value engineering. Please feel free to contact your Grand Representative to schedule your education session. |
